Biography

Jeff serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Business & Finance Client Service Department. He practices corporate law with an emphasis on corporate finance, health care and real estate. He represents a large regional bank in various financing matters, including commercial loans, letter of credit financings, industrial revenue bonds, health care financings and specialized collateral documentation and review. Jeff represents corporations in both financing and acquisition transactions. He also represents fiction authors in obtaining and negotiating publishing contracts. Jeff was named one of The Best Lawyers in America in 2007, 2008 and 2009 for his work in Banking Law. Based on the grading and comments of his peers, Jeff is recognized with an AV Rating, the highest rating given to lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell.

Jeff has a helpful attitude that spills over into his client relationships. “I always try to be upbeat and positive with my clients,” he says, adding that he wants clients to know that he appreciates the opportunity to assist them with their matters.

Outside of the law, Jeff is most passionate about his wife, Amy Tolnitch, and his daughter, Styrling. Amy is an accomplished author and recently sold her second novel. Jeff is a fan of her work, as well as sports of all kinds, especially NASCAR.
